Alison Goddard has completed  another grueling challenge for a very worthy cause. She has taken part in the Cancer Research October Skipping Challenge, doing 100 skips a day.

Alison advised that she was pleased to confirm that she had completed 100 skips for each day of October!  “Not as easy as I thought, definitely harder than when I was 10 years old and I will never skip like a boxer!

My aim was to raise £100 for Cancer Research and I am delighted to say I have raised £305 plus £58.75 Gift Aid.

Sadly, I have lost friends and family to the big C and some fighting it now.

Research is the way forward with all diseases and hopefully more people will be diagnosed earlier and helped.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who sponsored me and if anyone would still like do so, please go to Alison’s Giving Page (cancerresearchuk.org)

1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime.  Fundraising will help find new ways to outsmart cancer and create a future that protects the people you love.

Thanks to your support through this challenge, they can continue to develop new life-saving treatments that will protect future generations.

Cancer Research UK are working hard to reach the goal of 3 in 4 people surviving their cancer by 2034 and every step we take towards funding breakthroughs relies on every pound donated.
