When father and son team Karsan Naran & Avneesh Sangani invested in the Card Connection area of Macclesfield back in 2018, it was hardly a step in the dark. That’s because Avneesh is the brother of Dilip Sanghani, who has been successfully running the Manchester franchise of Card Connection since 2014.
Karsan had watched Dilip’s development of his area over the past four years and had been impressed with the product and professionalism of the card Connection model. So when the opportunity came up to purchase the neighbouring territory of Macclesfield, he decided it was the perfect opportunity to invest in this business with Avneesh, his son.
“When new franchisees invest in an area, we often refer to the process as joining the Card Connection family,” said Card Connection Managing Director Michael Johnson. “In this case, Karsan and Avneesh have taken this a step further and given it whole new meaning!”
“It’s a great vote of confidence in Card Connection as a franchisor, and also the stability and potential our business model can provide,” continued Johnson. “At heart, greeting cards are about bringing people closer together but in this family’s case, that has magnified onto the reality of running two successful businesses!”
“We have a good track record of franchise areas being purchased thought the personal recommendations of existing franchisees, so we must be doing something right,” joked Johnson, “but on a serious note, long may that continue!”
