Royal Mail is reassuring people that they should not be concerned about posting Mother’s Day presents, as Public Health England says coronavirus Covid-19 cannot survive for long on objects such as letters and parcels.

Posting home presents is a safe way to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday, in light of the Government’s new advice against non-essential contact with others and its promotion of ‘social distancing’.
